Emperor is a member and the leader of Team Emperor.
Appearance
Emperor is a male light-skinned Inkling with sun yellow eyes and tentacles, though the color can change at will. Unlike most other characters in the manga, he has a custom hairstyle, which has all six of his tentacles swept to the right side of his head. He wears the Eminence Cuff, the Milky Eminence Jacket, and the Milky Enperrials, but wears broken Retro Specs and the Black Velour Octoking Tee while on Team Blueperor. He uses the Enperry Splat Dualies as his main weapon.
Personality
Emperor was pretty cocky, prideful, and strict with his teammates, though he still cares for them. He used to think that fun and enjoyment was only for the winners, but realized he was wrong after losing to Team Blue. Though staying arrogant, he improves his personality during his self-growth trip and battles with Team Blueperor; his arrogance is used as more of a gag and he admits that part of what makes him a “king” is the fact that he can care for and protect his friends in battle. He also becomes less strict over his brother, Prince, and is shown to be very proud of Team Newperor. While he later chose Team Order for the final Splatfest and says that a king’s duty is to protect order, he isn’t completely averse to fun or chaos, and adapts quickly to Goggles’s shenanigans when they’re working together in the Ranked Battle Cup. He frequently refers to himself as the “king”, and often uses more professional or regal language, especially when compared to the other characters.
