Rider (ライダー Raidā?, lit. Rider) is a character in the Splatoon Manga, and the leader of Team Yellow-Green.
Appearance
Rider is a dark-skinned male Inkling with yellow-green eyes and tentacles in the "Topknot" hairstyle, though the color can change at will. His gear usually contains the Fake Contacts, the Black Inky Rider, which is where his name comes from, and the Octoling Boots. His main weapon is the Gold Dynamo Roller, though he also uses the Kensa Dynamo Roller.
Personality
Rider was originally depicted as a very negative and serious player who very much hates teamwork. He has said things such as, "If you work as a team, someone is bound to mess up", and, "You only need one good player to win a turf war". After Rider learned about teamwork and friendship, he started to be more caring of others (including his teammates), despite still having his serious attitude. He trains with many weapons to learn about their performance.
