Description

The Blaster is a Main Blaster Weapon that shoots special ink rounds that burst like fireworks after traveling a certain distance. These bursts can deal damage in a wide area, making it great for exposing hidden foes. It is a one-hit-splat, but has a very slow firing rate.

Strategy

Shooters are The Blaster is able to immediately splat an unlucky opponent who is within range and receives a direct hit. Even if it's not a direct hit, there's a small explosive radius that makes it lethal in two shots, provided the blast hits both times, and the blast even lets it check around corners without putting itself into danger. Unfortunately, it's also a short range weapon (shorter range than the Aerospray RG even). This makes the Disruptor a powerful tool in this set, since it slows enemies down enough for you to catch up to them and hit them hard. Afterwards, you can use the Killer Wail special to hold your opponent you've just splatted up at his spawn, or you can just use it to deal with someone pressuring you outside your range.

Tips for facing each weapon type

Shooter-type weapons have a slight advantage over you, due to low rate of fire and range. The best option is to hit your enemy with a Disruptor to quickly turn the skirmish around. Remember not to check around corners without first firing a shot or two around it - the explosion radius will let you know if somebody's hiding. The Killer Wail can deal with enemies who are outside your Disruptor's range as well, such as the Jet Squelcher.

Roller-type weapons are at a disadvantage against you with this set. Hit them with a Disruptor and open fire. If you don't have the ink to throw the sub, back off and refill for a bit.

Charger-type weapons are your biggest threat, because of their range. The best chance against them is to sneak up and hit them with a Disrupter, if you can't avoid a confrontation altogether. Otherwise, simply expand your turf and wait for your Killer Wail to charge, then let it loose on them.
